How we pick the food vloggers we trust

A pin on Bymi is a promise: someone you can trust ate here and it was worth it. So the question we get most is — who decides?

Taste over reach

Follower count is the easy metric, and it’s the wrong one. A creator with 30k genuinely obsessed followers often knows a neighborhood better than someone with millions. We weight consistency and credibility over raw reach.

What we look for

  • They actually go. Real visits, real plates — not reposts or sponsored-only feeds.
  • Honest verdicts. Creators who’ll tell you when something’s a miss.
  • A point of view. A clear lane — birria, omakase, late-night, vegan — beats “everything is amazing.”

How it shows up in the app

When you tap a pin, you see who put it there and why. That transparency is the whole point: you’re not trusting an algorithm, you’re trusting a person whose taste you can judge for yourself.
